UMW Toyota Motor has formally launched the?inaugural Toyota Vios Challenge one-make race, which will be the feature occurrence at this year’s Toyota Gazoo Bike racing (TGR) Festival.
The launch on the challenge marks the arrival of TGR in Malaysia having successfully established on its own in the World Rally Title (WRC) where it won its maiden acquire in Sweden.

The Vios Struggle will see 30 drivers, including eight community celebrities competing, around identical race-prepared Vios over a group of four events operated with street circuits within Penang, Kuala Lumpur and Johor. The 1st event is planned to be held in August this year with the tournament stretching through to the first quarter of 2018.

Individuals plus teams who choose the Vios Challenge racing motors sold at RM90,1000 will receive a package which includes a TRD bodykit, exhaust system, suspensions, brake pads, tower bar and lower prepare bars as well as a rotate cage, Toyo tyres together with Enkei RPF-1 wheels.

The race managing and car changes for the Vios Challenge is going to be handled by Wing Hin Motorsports under oversight by TRD Japan. This regulations, drivers along with race management are all subjected to strict FIA policies and run under the scrutiny of AAM.

All amateur racers including the stars will need to qualify in a racing school which is to be conducted in Could with instructors as well as race engineers from TRD Japan in attendance.
