As Marc Marquez continues his focus to a full recovery, Stefan Bradl will again jump on the Repsol Honda Team RC213V for this weekend season opener in Qatar.

Having last raced in Qatar back in 2021, the 31-year-old German will once more go back to Losail International Circuit in a bid to prove his worth after a fruitful testing using the RC213V.

“First of all I wish to say thank you to HRC and wish Marc all the best on his continued recovery. We'd a good test and I've been riding well after a busy 2021 along with a nice beginning to 2021.

“Hopefully we are able to have another strong weekend and gather some good information for Honda.

“It will likely be great to race in Qatar again, it has been some time since i have have raced there and surely the 2 tests have me up to date using the track and so i don't think this is a drawback to all of us. Let's move on the growing season,” he said.

Meanwhile, Pol Espargaro is raring to make his debut using the RC213V.

The 2021 MotoGP season opener is expected to become a thrilling race with Espargaro vying to make his mark using the new machine after leaving KTM at the end of last season.

“The very first race is finally here, I'm really excited to get back around the Honda. We'd a great test and I am looking forward to the first race weekend. There's something we still need to learn and understand about the bike and it'll be a powerful opening weekend, however i am excited.

“Racing the Repsol Honda is one thing many people imagine and that i can't wait to do it. I'm not setting a target for that race other than do the best that we can. Let's put on a good show for the fans that are in your own home, it's time to go racing,” he was quoted saying.
